Orthomosaic mapping…
It’s like Google Maps,
but on steroids
Orthomosaic mapping involves seamlessly stitching together hundreds (or thousands) of overlapping aerial images to form one single, detailed, high resolution map. Each image is geometrically corrected to ensure true scale and perspective, providing reliable data for various industries, including construction, agriculture, land inspections, real estate, land surveyors, land developers, and environmental management.
The final image is overlaid onto Google Maps and can be used for planning and measurements such as distance and area.
Click on an image below and a new tab will open up. Zoom in on the map and play around with the tools on the left hand side of the page and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
NOTE - using the calculations tools works on desktops or laptops but not a mobile devices.
